SGHT 01 · waving · behind diamond
a small dog has been all over ethereum's website. and you didn't notice.
sometime in the spring of 2026, a tan shiba began appearing in the corners of ethereum.org — peering from behind the rainbow diamond, drifting past the merge panda, leaning out of footers. nobody can remember when he arrived. he had a token by the time we noticed.

field note · 01 / on the matter of his arrival
he was always there.
that's the part nobody can explain.
The earliest confirmed sighting traces back to a screenshot of the ethereum.org homepage, dated April 2026. Something tan and small can be seen tucked behind the rainbow diamond at the top of the page, partially obscured by a glass helmet. It is not in the source assets. It is not in the design files. It does not appear in any prior version of the page.
Subsequent reviews of the foundation's historical media archive turned up the same tan shape, again and again — a shoulder behind a token icon, a tail beneath the merge panda, a paw resting on the corner of a wallet screenshot from 2022. He had been on the website the whole time. He had a token by the time anyone asked his name.
His name, when it arrived, was EtherDoge. The ticker is $EDOGE. There is no team page. There is no roadmap document. There is, instead, a dog in a helmet, drifting across the network's image library at terminal velocity.

field note · 02 / on the matter of his coin
he has a token now.
we do not know who issued it.
It came online without ceremony — no announcement, no team page, no foundation. The contract verified itself. The supply was already paired. By morning the holders were already calling it $EDOGE, as if they had always called it that. There is, once again, no roadmap.
